Pakistan has confirmed that the United States and Iran have reached an agreement to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, signaling the end of more than three months of conflict in the Middle East.

According to Pakistan, the breakthrough is expected to provide much-needed relief to the global economy. However, the full details of the agreement have not yet been made public.

The deal is scheduled to be formally signed on Friday in Switzerland, although it remains unclear how quickly the Strait of Hormuz will reopen to all shipping traffic. The United States had previously announced that it would gradually ease its blockade of Iranian ports as the strategic waterway reopens.

The expected measures also include the easing of certain sanctions, allowing Iran to increase its oil exports and support the recovery of its economy.

US President Donald Trump confirmed that an agreement had been reached with Iran and said he had approved the end of the American naval blockade of Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz.

“Congratulations to all!” Trump wrote on social media. He added, “Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!”

Iranian state media reported Pakistan’s announcement following a day marked by a fresh Israeli strike in southern Beirut, Lebanon.

According to reports, Israel, which was not involved in the negotiations, carried out actions that could have disrupted the nearly completed peace talks.

Both sides have declared an immediate and permanent halt to military operations across all fronts, including Lebanon.

Technical discussions for the implementation of the agreement are expected to begin later this week.
