Ex-GMA Reporter Nico Waje files counter-affidavit over complaints filed by former colleague Athena Imperial
Former GMA reporter Nico Waje filed his counter-affidavit on Friday, June 19, in response to the complaints for acts of lasciviousness and gender-based sexual harassment filed against him by his former colleague, Athena Imperial.
Waje, accompanied by his wife and legal counsel, Atty. Leo Lalusis, submitted his counter-affidavit at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
Although Waje’s camp did not disclose the details of his counter-affidavit, Lalusis said that Imperial’s allegations against his client are not true.
The lawyer added that Waje is prepared to answer and face all accusations made against him.
Lalusis also said they have yet to receive a copy of a similar complaint filed by another female complainant. Imperial filed the complaints for acts of lasciviousness and gender-based sexual harassment against Waje on May 13.
The details of her complaint affidavit submitted to prosecutors were not immediately made public.
