P/Col. Marlon Santos appointed as Nartatez’s new spokesperson

POLICE Colonel Marlon R. Santos has been designated as the acting spokesperson of Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., according to the National Police Commission.
General Nartatez also serves as Ex-Officio Commissioner of NAPOLCOM, while Col. Santos currently serves as his Senior Police Assistant.
According to the commission, Santos has been assisting in advancing reforms focused on accountability, discipline, strategic communication, and stronger coordination between the agency and the Philippine National Police.
Before assuming his new role, Santos served as provincial director of the Cavite Provincial Police Office and regional chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Regional Field Units 4A and 7.
In his current position, Santos is responsible for conveying to the public and the media the directives, policies, and official statements of Nartatez, including key programs, operational developments, and reform initiatives of the PNP.
Ralph Calinisan expressed confidence that Santos would help further strengthen public trust in the police organization through credible and people-centered communication.
